Elements
Elements of art are the building blocks of creativity for the visual artist. The elements include line, shape, form, space, texture, value and color. Through various combinations, the elements are arranged to produce an inherently personal expression. In some cases, one element can dominate, such as line, or all elements can be mixed to form a unified and coherent structure. Being familiar with the elements can help one view art more obectively and appreciate abstraction.
